Have been living with just a hint of green for just a couple weeks...........finally got my Chlorine up to shock
FC 30.this is the second day for that value
TA 150
Ca 200
PH 7.8
CYA..45
34,000 vinyl in ground
I am getting anxious................sand filter is running 24/7........very full sun all day.
How long should I give the chlorine to blue the water before moving to poly quats?

You should check your FC levels in the morning before the sun gets on the pool and adjust back up to shock levels. You need to keep this up until there is no FC loss during the night. This may mean checking your FC levels a few times a day if you are able to. Lots of brushing and back washing is needed as well. Once you have no FC drop during the night you can gradually let it drop back to normal FC levels for your pool Getting algae under control takes lots of POP (pool owners patience) .

Good Luck !
