Just begun, ques re: CYA

got the TF 100 kit this week- declaring independence from pool store! Here are my first results:

FC 3.5
CC 0
PH 7.5
TA 160
CYA 100
water temp 88
started using bleach 2 weeks ago, no more pucks in feeder!


I know the TA is on the high side- trying to bring it down gradually w/ sod. bisulfate but this is the first time I have tested for CYA and it seems like it's high- (e.g., the dot on the test tube disappeared just before it hit 100- )
Water is clear- any suggestions?

IG, vinyl pool, 28,000 gal, 22"x 44" kidney shapke, Hayard DE filter & pump, Southernexposure

start doing some partial drains and refills to get your CYA down to more managable levels. 60 ppm or under. The work on getting your TA down. What is your calcium hardness? Just because you have a vinyl pool does not mean you should not test this. It can interact with your other water balance parameters.
