Water level question

I am a new inground pool owner and was wondering.....? My pool was closed by the company that installed it and prior to closing they drained the water level to about 2 inches below the returns. My pool is 18 x 36 with an 8.5 ft deep end. We have a lot of rain and snow and I was wondering if I should be checking the water level to ensure it does not overflow...also...how much should I drain it if it is getting full?

Well, I can't imagine it will overflow out of the pool. If it is getting too high for your liking, (say back to normal levels), get a sump pump and pump it back down.
