Pool Cover question

My automatic pool cover is sagging and where it meets the shallow end it isn't flush with the wall. About 1 inch gap and about 6 feet long. Is this a problem?

The water level at closing was just below the skimmer and it is frozen now. Been cold winter so far in Minnesota.

Do you mean the cover has come out of it's track or groove? Any chance you can post a pic? It would help to be able to see it and someone can likely answer you better.

Its not off the tracks, it is in the middle where it meets the wall on the shallow end. So when it is all the way closed the part that hits the wall. Its already dark will try to get picture on here tomorrow.
