no flow on my zodiac ei unit!!!!!

hi there.im very new to this forum and pool care.
we bought a new house early november and pools been working great.until today i noticed 'no flow' error message and the unit (obviously) will not run.
i cant find how to clean my swg,as it seems to be empty.
i have given my cartridge filter a deep clean but this did not remedy the problem.
