Drying water

Hello All -

This year I have noticed my skin getting very dried out every time I get out of the pool. I'm wondering if it's just me becoming a delicate flower, or there is something I can do about it. We just added some salt, and I was very hopeful this would fix the problem, but it didn't. Here are the facts:

CL 4 - 8 usually 5 ppm
cc 0
CYA 50
PH 7.4 (fought high ph last year, now it's just staying put)
salt - 1,870 new this week!
alk 80
cal 90
temp 82

11,000gal AGP
sand filter
1.5hp pump

I added salt this past weekend and all I can say is, "WOW"! I went to 2200 ppm. I also added borates and the combination of the salt and borates made quite a difference in my water. It truly sparkles and all my guests commented on how great their hair and skin felt after swimming. My daughter even swears it help clear a few pimples.

Perhaps you might want to give borates a try . . .
