Winterize or Run Spa all Winter

We have a marquis 636 spa that came with the house that we bought.

We don't plan to use the spa during the winter.

The winterizing process looks very complicated.

If we don't want to go through that, what is the best option?

Keep the spa at 80F (the lowest it will go) and put a giant thermal blanket around it?

This is around Portland, OR.

Since it's a standalone tub, I would seriously consider draining it. Seems to me that keeping it hot (even 80º) would be a great waste of money.
