Can you put Diatomaceous Earth in your spa?

Just wondering if you put some DE In your spa if it would help kill off bugs and help the filter work better?

I doubt it will have any effect on the bugs. If you have a sand filter it may enhance filtration, but it would just clog a cartridge filter.

Also realize there are different kinds of DE ... the pool stuff is not the same as the food grade stuff.
