solar cover on/off during day

During the day should I leave the cover on if the temp is higher than the pool temp?

Or will the water get warmer with or thru the cover?

I've been rolling it up each morning & covering at night.

If the air temp is warmer than the water and it's not extremely windy leave it off. Is the cover clear ? Putting it back on at night will help with heat loss due to evaporation.

So it can't warm up the water through the cover then, kinda what I thought.

If your cover is clear you can get a slight increase in water temp. It's usually the first couple of inches that get the temp increase.
The best heating will be with the cover off and full sun with little wind,as long as it's nice and warm.
