Dual Jandy AquaPure 1400 Install

Hello

I am replacing a single AquaPure install with a dual AquaPure 1400 system connected to a Jandy Aqualink.

Could someone please provide correct wiring diagram for a dual AquaPure install? I have read in the install manual not to connect both units to the RS 485 port

I believe one will install to the RS485 and pump load relay and the other to just the load relay of the Jandy control center.

How will the slave Aquapure know what mode it is in like the master to change % of output? (pool mode vs spa mode)

I'm surprised that you wouldn't connect both to the RS-485 port.

I suggest calling Jandy support and see what they have to say.

Please post back what they tell you.

I spoke with Jandy Tech support.

After he conferred with other tech's, he called back with what they believe to be true.

If the AquaLink has REV R, connect both AquaPure via RS 485. The second one will have to be addressed. Then they will both be controlled by the AquaLink

That's exactly what I thought should happen. You have two different device addresses and they can both be in the communication loop. Exactly how it should be. Thanks for posting back the answer.
