Replacing my DE filter

Hello all,

I have made the decision to replace my DE filter with a cartridge filter system. The pool is 16,000 gallons. I have seen threads about turnover rate as well as filter square footage and I can't quite get an answer out of all of it. The house was a foreclosure, the filter is old and the filter media keeps on ripping. The pool is in a screened in porch so I just don't see a reason to have "superior" filtration.

So based off of what was said, what would you recommend?

Either one (or sand) will work fine for you. For your 16000 gallon pool, we would recommend as minimums:

• Cart: 240 sq. ft.
  DE: 44 sq. ft.
  Sand: 3.0 sq. ft.
