    Using the BBB Method

    How long do you have to wait to go swimming after adding bleach/baking soda or Borax to your pool?

    I wait half an hour for muriatic acid/bleach and an hour for borax/soda ash/dry acid before swimming. You can probably get away with less than that, I like to be conservative. Baking soda and CYA are safe, no need to wait at all.
