Visited a really great pool in Costa Rica today

This was a popular pool in the 80s
Not so much any more.

The smaller pool is contains small trout that when they get big enough are transferred to the big pool.

Looks like the pump pad is still highly effective.

Wow, I bet that was nice at one point. Do you know why it has been abandoned?

Not exactly abandoned per se... It's a restaurant that serves the fish they are growing in their "pond"
However I did ask the story and it was given to me quickly.
This place was hopping back in the day until some pools opened up
Near the hot springs on the other side of the river.
People wanted warm water instead of cold so this pool place couldn't survive.

I can't remember the name of the town but I do remember it was near Paraiso.
Went through Cartago to get there but I'm not sure which direction

Looks like it was a neat pool place at one time, and it must be pretty deep. Could you see a lot of trout in the pool?
