New guy - Hello

Howdy Folks!

New guy here from Longview, Texas. My name is Divin' Dave! I've never had a pool before, and after all these years pool-less, my new swimming pool build starts next week! I'm looking forward to learing a lot from you good folks! I'm almost ready for summer to start again too!

Welcome to the forum Dave.

There is a lot of info in Pool School, but focus on the basics. First the ABC's of Pool Chemistry, and work on it from there. Don't be intimidated by everything there, just take a bite at a time, and come back with any questions. We are glad to help.

Hi Brushpup, thanks for the welcome.

Ive read quite a bit on the abc's, and the how to's, and the BBB method. Long way to go before I actually understand it all, but I will get there. I've been intimidated before and trust me, water ain't got a chance! LOL Been lurking for a few months actually. Very informative site you folks have here.

Very cool man, good to hear that. Once you understand the importance of the Cya/Chlolrine relationship and pH you are well on your way to a TFP.
