Pool cover

First year winterizing myself except I did have a pool guy blow the lines out. My pool cover is a mesh type(expensive tarp) and after putting on I have a few small wet spots on top of the cover. Will this continually drain water from the pool? Or will it stop once we get a little rain and equalize the pressure?

The holes in the cover are not noticeable if you are looking at it but I guess large enough for water to pass through.

Mesh covers are designed to allow water to pass through them and as such will always have damp spots in them. It should drain water from the pool as you shouldn't have a pump or siphon on the top of the cover.
