How do you fill your Liquidator?

I would be interested to hear how everyone is filling their Liquidator.

Do you just add chlorine and let the water overflow the top?

Siphon off some water?

Durleigh built a stand and he places a 5 gallon jug on top and siphons it in.

I was thinking about drilling a hole near the bottom and installing a valve for quick emptying. What do you think?

When I filled mine, I used a bungee cord to hold up the float on the inlet side and poured in the chlorine really slow, at about the speed of the outlet valve. Never came close to overflowing.

I've refilled while the pump is running and never had an overflow.
It seems that the "white stuff" is unrelated to how you pour in the bleach, provided that you do it through the funnel, and not TOO fast.

I installed a valve on the inlet side of the LQ. I fill with the pump running and the inlet valve closed and can pour in the bleach w/o any problem.

So far I have been manually holding up the float on the inlet side, leaving the pump running so liquid is flowing out as I pour bleach in. Added a full 8gal this way the other day. I plan to add a flow control valve on the inlet side so I can just shut it off as opposed to holding the float.
