Bromine conversion to Bleach

I just bought a used hot tub. I have cleaned the filters and they are soaking in bleach water overnight. The hot tub will be wired in the morning. I plan to use your recommendations to sanitize the tub, lines and jets. The previous owner used bromine and I want to use the shock to bleach system with boric acid. Do I need to do any extra steps to convert from bromine aside from sanitizing it?

no, by draining and refilling with fresh water, it is no longer a bromine spa. It doesn't become a bromine spa until you add bromide to set your bromine bank or a lot of bromine tabs.

Just clean it, refill it and start using chlorine.

Now I'm not an expert so maybe someone else knows but I'm not sure what you mean by that.

For daily upkeep there is the di-chlor and bleach method. For used tubs there is the decontamination process.

I was referring to the decontamination process when I said your sanitation process. I used the wrong term.
