Can you shock the pool after adding dry acid a bit earlier? I am in the process of lowering my pH slightly so I can shock the pool. I added dry acid about 1 1/2 hours ago and am hesitant to start shocking tonight because of the dry acid. Should I wait to shock until tomorrow to let the acid settle in and give me an accurate pH reading tomorrow before shocking?
I know the typical waiting time is 30 minutes or more between chemicals but I'm talking about shocking the pool, not just maintaining normal FC levels.
