Adding Salt for feel not SWG how Much

First off big thanks to everyone here for all the help.
I am still preplexed by a low PSI reading but the detective work continues.

Anywho I want to experiment with adding salt to my pool to get some of the benefits of salt water but not yet ready to go to the SWG side of life.

So if a pool owner wanted to start down this path what should he do?
What is the minimun amount, and should I build from here?
How does this effect chemicals?

You could add one bag of salt every few days till it gets to a level you like. Or you could get some test strips, measure the current level, and then add salt to 2000 ppm.
