I am learning about my "new" 20 year old built in pool, and loving it. However, I dove in today and thought to put my hand over the drain at the very bottom of the pool and there was zero suction. What are the steps I need to take to test my entire systems suction to be sure it is working well? And if it is not what part of the system should I replace?

Do you know if it's connected to the skimmer or runs back to the equipment pad?
