Acronyms

Greetings,

I have figured out most of the acronyms used here, but what do these mean:
1. FAS-DPD
2. In the TF-100 kit, what does TF stand for?
3. OTO chlorine test.

1. Ferric Ammonium Sulfate- Cant remember the chems for DPD
2. Trouble Free
3. Cant remember the chems in OTO either, but also a chemical. None of these are actually acronyms.

There are two different chlorine tests that use the DPD reagent one that's just DPD and the other that allows you to test high FC levels uses the FAS reagent with the DPD reagent.

As Patrick said it's Trouble Free.

OTO is orthotidine it's used to test total chlorine.

The chemical names in the test kits are listed in this post. You normally do not need to know this information.
