I'm designing my pool and decided on a rectangular 20x40' with a cover, I also want a spa so it looks like it would have to be separate from the pool (due to the cover) but I still want to use the same circulation system...
Check our this picture I ran into and can you comment on the 'moat' around the spa, also how would one step into this spa?
My thought was to use similar design and drain the 'moat' into the main pull through channel under the deck.
1- should I think about a separate circulation for the spa vs. this idea?
2- what is the proper name for the 'moat' so I could research it better?
3- how is this constructed?
4- how tall can a spa be before you need some steps to get into it?
5- can the water pass from the 'moat' to the pool with under-deck channels?
