Sprouting Seeds

The last few weeks, I've noticed that wind-blown seeds that have settled in the pool are sprouting and getting picked up by the sweeper.

I haven't had any lapses in chlorine (full chemistry linked in my sig). I find it odd that plants can grow in properly chlorinated water. Thoughts?

The chlorine in your pool is about the same as what is in tap water, so it's not too surprising.
