I know it's a bit premature but I want to prepare for winter. I have never put in a dummy cell before but was told by a smart pool guy to do so as I am just "beating up my cell" in the wintertime as it does not do anything for me. I live in AZ and around November-ish it will start cooling off. here is the question. Does anyone know where I can find a dummy cell as I have an Ecomatic ESC-36 system. I think Monarch may have bought them. So my question is do I need a dummy cell for my salt cell in the winter or is just putting it on winter mode enough? I was told to get a dummy cell and just put a few floaters and some chlorine tablets and that should work well for me. Thx for the response

I'm pretty sure winter mode won't even let it run when the temp is under 60 degrees pool temp.
When I replaced my turbo cell,I kept the old one so I could swap out with the new one during winter months.
