Before I call for some estimates, what should I expect to hear to refinish my pool?

I live in the Orlando FL area
Pool built in 1992
12,000 gallons
Gunite
Never been refinished. The pool is showing its age (cracking steps, pits in gun

Do you think better deals are to be had during certain seasons i.e winter months over summer months?
I know I live in Orlando, so we don't have winters but we don't use the pool from Sept. -Feb.

Any advise?

Prices are usually better in the off season, though it varies quite a bit.
