cloudy eyes

Hello folks. I have often wondered about what in the water makes your eyes "cloudy". Do you think its the chlorine or is it just being under water? My eyes don't sting or hurt and my Chlorine and PH levels are fine.

Ive always noticed that after I swim a lot underwater with my eyes open, that my vision gets a little hazy. Is it the chlorine?

No, it is your cornea absorbing water because your normal body fluids have a higher salt level than the water in the pool. The technical term is 'corneal edema' and it is exactly the same thing experienced by contract lens wearers back in the old days of hard contact lenses that was called 'spectical blur'.
