When I'm adding R0871 to determine FC I counted 8 drops and the tube turned clear. Then while I was grabbing the R0003 the tube went back to slightly pink.

So, my question is whether I stop counting drops when it turns clear while swirling or do I keep adding drops until it stays clear?

10 ml sample.

Add scoop of R-0870.

Swirl.

Count drops of R-0871 until clear, while constantly swirling.

Multiply number of drops by .5 for FC ppm.

Add R-0003.

Swirl.

Count drops of R-0871 until again clear.

Multiply drop count by .5 for CC ppm

If left sitting on the counter, the sample will turn pink again one or two minutes after the test is completed. This is normal. extended-test-kit-directions-t25081.html
