Most dead algae is grey. If you have grey cloudy water with a greenish tint, you still have algae alive in there. What kind of filter do you have (DE, cartridge, sand)?
In any case, continue SLAMming it until you meet all 3 criteria pwrstrk posted to make sure the algae stays gone.

Welcome to the forum computhan. These guys have you covered, and you just have a way to go yet. It takes time to clear a bloom of Algae, but if you stay with it things will come around.
