I'd probably try and keep that minimum FC number to 3 for safetys sake. Ummmmmm........we don't recommend the Pool Frog. A quick search of this forum will tell you why.

Yeah, I'm with woodyp on the Pool Frog and chlorine. I would also suggest a CYA around 40 ppm for Chicago, then chlorine 3-5 ppm.

Yea ..after reading other post i shut this pool frog to 0, not going to reinstall next summer.
After adding 13oz. of Liquid Chlor. & 12oz. of PH increase according to pool calculator heres what i got:::
FC- 4.5ppm
CC- 0.25
PH- 7.8
TC- 4.75ppm
TA-125
CYA- 25

Do i need to do anything else??? ..How often should i do the full test??

Are you using 10ML for testing FC/CC?

You should probably raise the CYA up to about 40ish.

CH test ,in 25ml tube, after adding 20drops of 0010 and 5 drops of 0011, it turned pink. Then it took 12drops of 0012 to turn it from pink slightly blue
So i guess: 120

Remember, you keep adding drops and swirling until the last drop makes no change, and subract that one. But you're probably close.

Something is wrong with that CC number. The test only measures in .2 or .5 ppm increments. How did you get .25?

Yes, with all the drops based tests, you continue to add drops until there is NO further color change, then subtract that last drop that didn't have any effect.

For CC test... in 25ml , 2 dippers powder , turned pink . Then took 20 drops of 0871 to turn from pink to clear - 20x0.2=(4) then added 5 drops 0003 ..It took 1 drop to go from barely pink to clear : 1 x 0.2 = 0.04

CC 0.04
So 4.4 total chlorine??...did i get this right?

No, 1 x 0.2 = 0.2, so TC would be 4.2. Mostly we don't need to see TC if you have a valid FC and CC number, we can add and TC doesn't really tell us anything.

One other thing, there is no need to use the 25 mL sample when testing for chlorine. Use the 10 mL sample and divide number of drops by 2. There is no need for more than .5 ppm resolution. It will save a lot of reagent.
