Equipment placement question.

Well my new AGP should go in Thursday now if we don't get rain again and get it moved back for a 3rd time. I had a question is there any specific factors to think about while selecting where to place equipment? The pool is a 12x24 doughboy, the yard is predominately flat without a lot of grading needed, and it will be 5'5" off the fence line along one of the 24' sides.
Does it need any specific room for ventilation etc... or just enough to comfortably be able to work around.

Just enough room to walk around comfortably. More is better, but 5' feet should be plenty.

Is there any benefit from having it in an area that will be complete shaded?

Shaded........yes. In an enclosure without enough air circulation....no.

No it would be in-between the pool and the privacy fence so it would get 1-2 hour sun during the day. But not enclosed.

About all I can see is that it should be close to electricity.

Probably would be nice to be located where any water that escapes during servicing doesn't create a mudhole in the wrong spot.

The area I anticipate should provide good drainage to avoid the mudhole creation. and our electrician is going to run a hard line to a conduit we will place along the fence line. But for now we will run from a extension cord
