Bought this at Lowe's for $7.99, called charcoal companion or something like that.
Basically pack the bottom with 1/2 pound of meat and then stick the top part into the meat to make a cavity, then you fill the cavity with cheese or (my favorite) Bacon and Cheese. Then you put a 1/4 pound of meat in the lid and seal. Yes a stuffed 3/4 lb. burger

May have to look into this. By allowing 3/4 lb of meat, it is finally a burger press sufficient enough for me to take a look at.

Most of the time, I am a burger purist...grind meat from scratch and make the patties by hand. Once grilled, only cheese and ketchup go on it. However, every now and then, one of these stuffed burgers fits the bill for a nice change of pace and this tool looks like it makes the job of stuffing them easier.

Weather held out, here are the pics of the construction :-D

I'll occasionally stuff a burger with cheese. Usually, I'm content to just mix some mesquite & lime marinade and some Montreal Beef seasoning into the meat. For condiments, forget mustard and ketchup. Salsa and Bob's Blue Cheese Dressing is what I put on mine.
