Installing New Hayward Aqua Plus & Eco Star Pump (Tips?)

Hi!

After a week of seeking advise on this forum and receiving very valuable input, I have decided on the equipment I'll be installing in about 2 weeks.

The Pool:
- Capsule Shaped 25ft by 8ft with a 6ft diameter Spa that cascades into the pool, 5ft deep and 3ft shallow ends (6,500gal approx., including spa).

Departing Equipment:
- Hayward 1.5hp Super Pump
- Standard Timer & Circuit Breaker Box.

New Arrivals:
- Hayward Eco Star (I know it's probably "too much" for a small pool, but this is Puerto Rico and power is hitting $0.30 kW/h in less than a month)
- Hayward Aqua Plus with Remote Control feature & Salt Cell

What are your experiences with the Eco Star and Aqua Plus, either separately or together in a system?

Appreciate any comments/tips!

Use unions on the plumbing at equipment so it's easy to replace if there's a problem.
