Rebuilt Pool motors - PHX area

I want to lower my elec usage and replace a 1hp whisperflo (circa 2002) motor with a 1/2frhp two speed whisperflo motor.
Has anyone had any experience or knowledge about www.azpoolmotors.com?

Reports are than rebuilt motors tend to last only 1-2 years on average so unless you get a really good deal on one it usually isn't worth it.

Also, don't forget that when you downsize a motor you also need to downsize the impeller or you will burn up the motor.

They kept trying to talk me into a one speed motor, so in the long run, new is the higher road to travel.
