I am helping a friend sort out her pool, which is green. We are slamming, and she is keeping a record every two hours, and lost about 4ppm overnight, so we know something is eating her chlorine, not just the sun.
Odd thing is, using the Taylor k-2006 we are getting no CC reading at all. Doesn't even go the tiniest bit pink after adding the 5 drops of R-0003. Can this be right? Never come across this with a green pool before.
Her PH was way too low, so we added some washing soda before starting the SLAM. Have convinced her to keep her hands off the PH test for the time being, high chlorine will swing the result.
