pool volume help

Thanks guys. Im still alittle confused, when one says "volume" it means the gallons correct?
For example, what is the volume of a pool that is 40'x20' with 5' average depth?

a- 20,000 gallons
b- 4,000 cubic feet
c- 4,000 square feet
d- something that im not getting... lol

Yes, almost always it is spoken in gallons for volume in pools and most other things here in the US.

So, it works out as 20X40X5= 4000 Cubic ft. There are 7.48 Gallons of water per cubic ft, so 4000X7.48= 29920 gallons.

Capiche?
