FC Test Question

I am close to the end of a SLAM. My regeant is almost empty. I have more coming in the mail tomorrow. Can I use 5 mml test instead of 10 and count each drop as 1 to conserve regeant? Do I also use less powder? My CC has held at 0 for two days now. My shock level is 24 and I've been keeping it between 28 and 32 but the constant testing is using up my regeant fast. I still get cloudy water after brushing but the pool was mostly clear this morning. I did lose 4 ppm overnite so I'm continuing the SLAM.

Standard Intex 1500 gph pump and filter (being replaced tomorrow with a 2650 Sand filter)

Welcome to TFP!!!

You can use the 5ml sample, it just will not be as accurate. Technically you should not need as much powder with less water, but you can have problems if you use too little.

You will not want to use 5ml when you get to the final CC and OCLT tests.
