Sterilene, the new chlorine (55% available chlorine)

Has anyone heard of and or used this product for pool chlorination? A friend of mine who owns a well drilling company mentioned it to me, kind of peaked my interest.

It contains cyanuric acid, and according to the CAS number it's Dichlor. 55% sound right for dichlor too.

One thing they claim is being pH neutral ... so at least that does not sound like Dichlor.

BUT ... looking up the CAS number 51580-86-0:

Turns out to be dichlor.

Wonder how much extra they charge for the fancy name?

I don't think it says it is pH neutral, I think it is saying that it doesn't raise the pH. "pH is auto controlled, no premixing w/vinegar" It sounds like to me they are saying the chlorine source is acidic, so you don't have to lower the pH separately. That would be in line with dichlor.

Bummer, I was hoping it would have been beneficial for our pool use.... Now, just out of curiosity I will ask my friend what he sells it for.
