I have a 1 hp. hayward above ground pump. It hums but will not start now. It is clean and will turn with screwdriver freely but will not start. It's only 1 yr. old and is really been taken care of. Someone please help.

More than likely the starting capacitor. Fairly cheap and an easy fix. Usually under a bump on the motor housing.
