HELP! TH test turns Yellow!

I have the htc 6 way test kit. Yesterday I tested everything. Everything was spot on. Today, when I test the TH, I put the 25mls in the tube, put in 5 drops of hardness indicator and it doesn't red, it turns YELLOW! Adding Titrant doesn't change the color to anything else. It just stays yellow. What's wrong?

The hth test tests for TH, not CH specifically. Back when I used the hth kit, I always had this problem too. I don't know if there is really anything you can do about it.

IDK, maybe...Total hardness. Yesterday the water turned red and then blue when I added the second step. But today, it just keeps turning yellow with the indicator. too much chlorine? It's slightly elevated at 5.

5ppm is not "too much chlorine".

Are you sure you are using the correct reagent .... would not be the first time someone just grabbed the wrong bottle.

No, I'm using the correct one. I've tried a few times over to be sure I was grabbing the right bottole. Same results. The first time I did it, it was fine. I just did it today and it was fine.
