I want a Pool Timer,Brand ? What to look for ??

I just purchased a home with a inground pool. I would like to add a timer to my filter/pump. I have no idea what to look for.
Or what is considered a good brand. Recommendations ????

I also have old school screw in fuse box. thinking of upgrading this also to breakers,,

Should I upgrade the box while im in there ??

Intermatic is the standard. They have some models that are just the guts, and fit into the breaker box. I'd upgrade if I was you - those screw in fuses aren't available with GFI, are they?

You probably wouldn't need one with the freeze protection thermostat in your climate. Down south we don't "close" our pools so we wanted that feature.
