spider gasket

I took my hayward sp715xr50 multi valve apart . the spider gasket was glued or extremely hard to pull up .it looked good and and I didnt want to destroy it by removing it ,so I left it in are they supposed to be difficult to get out . like have to use a metal pick

Some of them are glued on and yes, you have to scrape them out.

my replacement looked alittle different , and I was scared if it didnt fit I would be without filter , so i replaced the o rings around the handle that were leaking only
