Hayward EC50AC rattling all of a sudden???

In my second season, so pretty new at this stuff.
Out of nowhere my filter starts rattling. Wasn't sure if it was the pump or filter until i put my ear up close, and seems like it is definitely coming from inside the EC50AC hayward filter, near bottom 1/3 of unit.
Anyone have any clues???

Do you have any air in the system?

I seem to remember a while back about someone with the same problem and it was the check valve in the bottom of the filter. You have to take the filter apart to see it.

It actually sounds like something is inside the filter bouncing around.
The noise was coming from the bottom 3rd of the filter for days, now it seems like it's coming from the top area of the filter. It sounds as if something is bouncing around like a small marble or something similar.
I've looked at schematics for this filter, and not sure if it could be some part from inside, or something that got past the filter basket. Possibly got stuck in the impeller area for a day or two, now in the main body of filter.Unfortunately I haven't had time to take it apart yet, but plan it it by tomorrow,
