Can you go to big with a DE filter?

I have a 10000 gallon IG pool.We have a new stayrite 3/4 hp max-e-pro.We are looking to purchase a Stayrite system 2 modular DE filter.The series is the PLDE.The PLDE36 is 36 sq ft filter area.We feel this would be more than enough for our pool,however the PLDE48 is 48 sq ft and costs only $60.00 more.My question is if I go for the bigger filter with the pump I have now would there be any problems.I know everyone says go bigger on the filter,but can you go to big on a DE filter and have poorer filtration.Any thoughts?Thanks

No you can't go too big. It will be longer between cleanings. Get the bigger one for $60.
