Advice on bench and steps for vinyl IG

40 X 20 vinyl rectangle IG. 4 ft to 8 ft with AC. Can either do corner steps with a bench ( I would do a bench away from the steps, I don't personally want them attached) or a few steps the width of the pool (downside is this eats up some of my shallow end). What would you do? I have 2 boys, ages 10 & 11. I wasn't even thinking of a bench until I saw a few pools recently. TIA for any help.

Not much advantage at that age to a big set of steps. It's nice for young ones and old ones, that's about it.
