cant keep water balanced

cant seem to get the ta under control. I added muriatic acid to drop the ta. couple days later ta is back to 120-180ppm. now ph is low. after my kids use the pool the water seems to get a little cloudy.

Please totally disregard your TA for now.

By far, your biggest issue is you have no CYA in your pool to shield the chlorine from the sun.

Your 3.0 chlorine test you report may be down close to zero as we speak.

read "The ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry" up in Pool School. Get CYA in your pool and then start maintaning a chlorine residual or you will soon be taken over by algae.

While you are working on your most important problem, bring your pH up to around 7.4 using 20 Mule Team Borax.
