Lowering TA. PH tough to get back up.

New pool here. Water brought in with tanker trucks.
TA a bit high at 140.

I've got a SWG, but have not installed it yet.

Anywho....

I'm going to get TA down to 80 and started the process yesterday.

Pre-start numbers:
TC 3
PH 7.6
CYA 50
CH 70
TA 140

Monday 3:30PM - PH 7.6 -- TA 140
Monday 3:45PM - Added 1 Gallon of 31.45% MA and start aerating with 3 headed homemade return fountain like others on this site use.
Monday 4:30PM - PH 7.0 -- TA 120
Monday 9:40PM - PH 7.2 -- TA 120
Tuesday 9:30AM - PH 7.2 -- TA 110

Pump is running 24x7 during this process. Aerator is also attached and running entire time.

So, to me, everything was going as planned until the Tuesday morning test.
I was expecting to see PH 7.6ish and TA 120.

Lowering TA can take quite a while. Minor fluctuations in your test results are to be expected along the way.

Once you start that SWG I'm betting your pH starts swinging up without issue.

Took a little longer than I expected for PH to rise with aeration, but all is well now.
Will just repeat process until TA is where I want it.

Have a pool party. A lot of splash fights and cannonballs and children flailing around trying to swim will aerate things nicely.
