Power off so pump didn't run for 4 days. Green murky water but can see bottom looks like jolly rancher green. I'M following guidelines posted here just wondering how long it might take and if any other suggestions?
FC up to16 but drops 2-3 each hour so far. We are brushing each hour.
FCC 16
Cc .5
Ph 8.2 too high?
Alk 90
Cya 40
Pool specs in signature,

Thanks for your help!!

Disregard pH levels while completing the shock process. Keep FC levels up and don't let up until you can pass the OCLT.

Pool is back in the blue...well blue liner that we can see now and almost sparkling clear water we've come to love and expect with the BBB system !! (held fc last night with .5 cc, expect to have process complete overnight tonight (keeping fingers crossed, want it ALL gone!)

Again, I'm trilled to have found this site and thanks for the note about floater, will keep that in mind for next time!

Question, is CYA too low at 40? We've had to add water several times so far this summer, very hot and may have a slow leak somewhere.

Hope you guys have a safe and happy 4th!!

Debbie

40 is ok, depending on amount of sunlight you get and what part of the state your in, if you are in the south part of the state and get a lot of sun you might want to raise they CYA to 50
