ok i know its somewhere on the forum. i've seen it. but now i can't find it. so my question is i finally got all my other levels decent. now i need to shock my pool. my fc level is 0 so how much bleach do i need to add to a 5800 gallon pool to get it where we want it.

Your shock levels are going to be dependant on your CYA levels and not how many gallons of water your pool holds. Test the CYA level and find the CYA/Chlorine chart in pool school for the corosponding shock level treatment and plug your numbers into the pool calculator and away you go! 
You'll still need to add your # of gallons at the top of pool calc so it can figure how much to add to raise your FC by however many points PER your cya level.
