Work at an outdoor private day camp pool, 70,000 gal, gunite, bromine sanitizer, sand filters. We have 70 kids a day for lessons/camp and weekend pool birthday parties. Not enough time in between for full weekly shocking. Is it okay to add a bag of shock daily instead of all at once??? The pool is always balanced, have a through test kit. We didn't have birthday parties last year on the weekends so it wasn't a problem till now. Any advice??

What do the local ordinances say about sanitizer level while the pool is occupied? That will be what determines whether you can add sanitizer or not.
What so called "shock" are you using (dichlor, MPS, Cal-Hypo, etc.)?
We really like numbers here so telling us "the pool is always balanced" means nothing. Please post a set of recent test results. Also having a "through (thorough) test kit" doesn't tell us what you have either. A brand and model number would be nice to see, or at least the test and method of the individual tests.

We use ColorQ Pro 7 test kit and AquaCheck Red for the bromine level. We use non chlorine oxi shock,potassium monopersulfate for shock. State standards are ph 7.0-7.8, ours is 7.4, TA state 60-180, ours is 90, Bromine state 2-10, ours is 4, calcium is 50, and cya for state is under 100, ours is at 35. Our turnover rate is 12 hours.
Just going by what the pool company which built the pool 15 years ago said, to shock it once a week to ensure sanitary conditions with the pool being used for public swim lessons. We now have 4x's as many kids in the pool with little down time to shock. The pool is tested every 4 hours with adjustments made when needed.
A little MPS "shock" in a pool with that heavy use is probably a good thing.
I don't think it'd hurt anything to add a little shock each day, just don't exceed the mandated sanitizer level.
