Addition of bleach and borax

Good morning. Very quick question. If I need to adjust both my FC and raise my pH, can I add the bleach and borax on the same day? Is there a preffered order or waiting period or can one be added right after another? Secondly, if I add Borax today is it ok for us to swim tomorrow?

Yes, you can add bleach and borax in the same day. In fact, in the same hour. Add the bleach, wait 30 minutes and add the borax, wait 30 minutes, test it and go swimming!

Put about thirty minutes, with pump running, between chemical additions. I suggest you adjust pH first. Wait the 30 mins., then restest to confirm.

If good, then add the bleach.

General rule of thumb, you can swim about thirty minutes after adding chems.
